Loft conversions
At CITYWIDE LOFTS we specialise in loft conversions. There are 2 choices:
- COMPLETE CONVERSION – ‘ready to paint then furnish’
- PART BUILD CONVERSION – Part build conversion will be fully completed on the outside and the inside can be taken to a stage of your choice depending on your budget and competency on finishing the work for budding DIY enthusiasts.
Types of loft conversion
Velux – If your roof lends itself to good head height and walkable space you can convert the loft without altering the structure. This can reduce the cost dramatically. With Velux windows both sides you can get plenty of sunlight in your new conversion.
Prices range from £30k – £36k including VAT
Dormer – usually for a terraced property a rear dormer is the best way to give you the desired room in your loft generating the head height potential across the back of the house.
Prices range from £43-50 including VAT
Hip to Gable and Dormer – The gable wall is built up to the ridgeline and a brand new section of roof is created usually this is where the new stairs will be placed. The Dormer can then be built across the entire width of the house to maximise the lofts space.
Prices range from £48k – £60k including VAT
Garage and outbuilding conversions

Converting your garage or an outbuilding is a practical and potentially low cost way of creating new bedrooms, office or living spaces without structurally altering the house.
Generally converting existing spaces into usable rooms will not require planning permission.
